This Light Rail+Roundabout project evolved from my vacation photos at St. Kilda beach in Melbourne, Australia taken in March 2000 to a slide show meeting with the University of Utah planners and architects in June 2000 to the finished product in May 2003. The photos show some of the construction and detours, concept drawing with peak hour traffic, redlined construction drawing, the light rail extension map and the intersection on a snowy day. It was just a weird coincidence that I went to Australia while I was working on the light rail stations and intersections. I went to Australia to swim in the new Olympic pools in Sydney ahead of the games.
